Aside from running One Chic Mama and designing for Mostess Creations, another thing I do (as if I need something else to do!) is coordinate the Crafter's Flea Market several times a year. Today marked our fourth market this year, and the ninth market since July of 2005. What started out as a way to get rid of my excess fabric has evolved into an upscale showcase of handcrafted goods. It's always such a delicious temptation to see what the other vendors are selling and to take home something wonderful and unique. One of my favorite new vendors at the market is Metamorphosis Metals. Crafting what they call "organic" jewelry, I was immediately taken with their designs. The simple, organic nature, the unexpected combination of materials, and the purposeful imperfection of the designs lend each piece a homespun quality that is meant to be treasured. After much lingering in their booth, the piece I came to call my own is their Square Necklace ($30). I chose the oxidized metal for its simplicity and elegance. I love it already!
