Our family adores games. We try to make time for games with our 5 year old after dinner, and a new game around the house makes for much excitement. Rapelli was no exception. A fun-filled game for kids 4 an up, Rapelli is a winner!.

What I love about Rapelli most is the fact that it's made from bamboo, a sustainably harvested material. But the game is loads of fun to play with kids. The object of the game is to get as many caterpillars out of the tree as you can, before your opponent's eat their way into the tree. My daughter grasped this quickly, and it worked to teach her a bit of strategy.

What we didn't expect from Rapelli is how much my toddler son would love it! Too young to play with the dice, we put those away and let him have fun putting the caterpillars in the tree and taking them out (works his pincer grasp). He loves doing this, and asks for Rapelli often by standing near the shelf where it sits and holding his arms outstretched. I know once he's old enough, he'll enjoy actually playing it by the rules!

Fun for the entire family, this would be a great game to take for a weekend away at the beach or the mountains (or lake house, log cabin...). Although it's a fun game to play, it can take some time. So it's best when you can just relax and enjoy it.
