When I first heard about Charlie's Soap, I wasn't paying much attention. But then it came up again, and a friend's mom mentioned how she stocks up on it everytime she comes to NC to visit. Really? Hmmm... Maybe this is something I should take note of. I mean, it's just soap, right? Nothing special about it. That's what I used to think.
Boy, was I wrong. The laundry powder from Charlie's Soap is like a revolution in itself. Made from a unique blend of biodegradable coconut-based detergents and high-grade, completely soluble, Green River washing soda, this formula won't mask stains and odors, but really works to get your laundry clean. When you have kids who get dirty, sweaty and stinky, this is a must!
Before you use Charlie's Soap, though, you have to run a cycle in your washer to get rid of all the residue left from other detergents. This really made me wonder what's in there! But what really surprised me is that it only takes 1 Tablespoon of detergent per wash. ONE TABLESPOON! How can they do that? I'm used to using at least a half-cup of the liquid stuff.

The all-purpose cleaner is a wonderful product as well. Non-toxic and completely biodegradable, this stuff will keep your surfaces clean and fresh. Claiming to remove pitch tar from machinery (I didn't have any pitch tar handy, so I can't attest to this), this formula will work wonders on little fingerprints and dirt left around the house (this I can vouch for).
Not just hard-working, Charlie's Soap is great for the environment because of its formula as well as the fact that it uses less packaging. Compatible for HE front loaders, Charlie's Soap is an old-fashioned solution that's just perfect for our modern lives. Oh, and it's made right here in NC.
