Flip and Tumble

Toting along your own reusable shopping bags is quickly becoming not just a trend, but a necessity. As stores such as Whole Foods move away from providing plastic bags for customers, or even charging for them, they encourage us to provide our own bags for groceries. It’s beneficial to the environment and cuts down on waste. But remembering to bring our bags can foil even the best of intentions.

Flip and Tumble has designed a shopping bag that makes it easy to keep it close at hand. This roomy bag folds up to go in its own little pouch. Simply toss this pouch into your handbag, stroller or car. It’s small enough to keep with you, and gives you an eco-friendly alternative to paper or plastic. The colorful bags are $12 each and will offer a quick solution when you stumble upon a local farmers' market, make an unexpected trip to the store or just for carrying wet swimsuits home from the pool. Made from rip-stop nylon, Flip and Tumble is one roomy bag that has some substance to it too!

I use my grocery bags as trash bags for the kids' rooms and bathrooms, and when we have garage sales for people to tote stuff home. Is this not what people do with their bags? I'm always reusing mine.

It's great that you're re-using them. Worldwide, plastic bags have become a problem because they are not always reused or recycled, but left out on the streets as trash. I know in China there has been a crack-down on the use of plastic bags to eliminate a lot of the bags left strewn on the streets, preparation for the Olympics. Kudos to you for finding a use for them!
