It's inevitable. As chock full as your kids' summer schedules are, occasionally there will be the need for some downtime. Or a rainy day that turns into several, to make having a good DVD on hand a great solution.
One of our latest faves is Bob the Builder: The Three Musketrucks
($12.99). Featuring the episodes, "Dodger the Milktruck", "The Three Musketrucks", "Dodger's Dairy Disaster", "Scrambler the Goat Herder", and "Packer's Big Delivery", this cute DVD introducers Dodger into the Can-Do Crew. Typical of all Bob the Builder DVD's, there are some great lessons on teamwork and listening to directions to be learned in a clever way.In the episode, "The Three Musketrucks", the trio who model themselves after the three Musketeers, are in search of some palettes for Bob's flat-pack house. I'm impressed - as a big fan of modern and eco-friendly design, I think flat-pack houses offer a great opportunity to create a fabulous house while saving some money and time, too. Kudos to Bob and the Can-Do Construction Crew for clever storylines about building and ideas that parents can appreciate.

My son really likes the way the show is animated, and I think that is the main reason it holds his attention. It's like they use little toys or something.
My two year old grandson thinks that all construction workers are Bob the Builder. He called a city worker in front of his house Bob the other day and his mother had to explain. He would love this!
My 5 year old would be so surprised. Bob is one of his hero's and has been since he can remember.

I love the positive attitude this program conveys, and my kids LOVE the talking trucks, Rolly, Muck, Lofty, Dizzy and Scoop are our favourites, but my son thinks Pilchard the cat and Spud the scarecrow are hilarious!

The boys like Bob the Builder because they are fascinated by the way things are built. They are always wanting to take things apart and put them back together and play with things that require building.
Of my three 2-year-olds, Josh is THE biggest Bob the Builder fan of all time! I really cant say WHY he loves the show so much since his Dad is in the army and all thumbs!! My nine year old grew up with Bob and he still prefers construction toys over everything..even VIDEO games!! Thanks for hosting this giveaway!

My 4 year old grandson just loves Bob the Builder. He calls him Bob Build. It's so cute. He got trucks for Christmas last year and kept telling me to get on the floor and play Bob Build, it was just the sweetest thing. He watches him like he's in a trance. They like it because it gives them a "can do" attitude.... I like it beacause it teaches them to work together, and also helps with problem solving skills. They learn, without realizing that they are.... how great is that?
