Purple Rain

Fall is on the horizon, and fall fashions are starting to make their appearance in stores. It makes me wistful for cooler weather and adding a few layers when I walk out the door. For now, I'll just have to satisfy my fall cravings by indulging in some fabulous accessories. After all, when we have a good core wardrobe, it's really the accessories that pull our look into each season and anchor it there until it's time to move on, isn't it?

Ready for another shot of color? After the brightly-hued summer, it's fitting that a few key shades will linger into fall and turn our dark neutrals into something far more multidimensional. Purple is a great example. A key color going into fall, shades of purple vary from lavender to violet to eggplant and give a modern update to all your blacks, browns, grays and caramels.

Try slipping on a great pair of purple boots with a black dress and tights for a fun look. Or pair purple flats with your favorite pair of jeans and a pretty sweater for a casual, yet chic look. Purples are everywhere, and you're bound to find accessories in your favorite shade this fall!
