My son just turned 2, and he's just begun to open doors, as many curious toddlers do. So when we found ourselves at the beach this summer, we were always on guard because the door to the house where we stayed could easily be unlocked and opened by little hands. Now we don't have to worry because there's Lady Lock, the clever invention that's designed to keep kids inside where they belong.
As the holiday season cranks up and you have family and friends coming in to town, the last thing you want to have to worry about is your toddler escaping out into the busy street. Yet many doors are created so that it's easy for a child to open them. Lady Lock ($20.70 including shipping) puts a stop to that and keeps children safe. With a Lady Lock you can relax and have the peace of mind that your kids will be safe inside your home. And it's portable, so you can take it with you on your next beach trip and rest assured that your kids are safely contained.
Win It
We're giving away one Lady Lock to one lucky reader. Just leave us a comment and tell us how you would use it. Don't forget to inlcude your email. Deadline is Midnight, EST, October 28, 2008.

wow if these worked I would get a couple- for grandmas, for trips- the hotel rooms- to stay put of rooms you want them to stay put of of
With a one year old now running all over the place, the locks will be great!
I would use this on our back door, my little man is always trying to escape out that door and I haven't found a lock that works yet!

Pick Me! Pick Me!.... i can't find a lock that works!
These are great. Please count me in. Thanks!!
I would use to make sure my 2 yr old daughter does not open the back door to the patio
While I love my dogs and know they would never hurt her intentionally, they are just to big to be left alone with the baby so I would use it on the back door to make sure she does not go out there without me.

it would give me peace of mind when my lil' "houdini" decides to make a disappearing act
I would give this to my son to use to keep my 2 year old grandson from going outside by himself.
He has done it twice.

I could really use this for my grandkids.

I could definitely use this for my son! He's two also and he's a little escape artist now. I would love to know that he can't just walk out my front door.
miranda_e19[at]yahoo[dot]com
This would be handy to use when the grand kids are over.
count me in. When we first moved to the neighborhood, the neighbors called child protective services because my daughter kept running out the front door. Luckily, I was always right behind her and we have a pretty big yard in a low traffic neighborhood, but it's still trouble. Now I have to keep the door gated with the baby gate, which simply doesn't work when there's lots of company.
We need this for our front door, my 3 year old has just begun to take an interest in letting himself out.
I would give this to my daughter to help with my granddaughter. She loves to try and open the door.
OMG this just happened today my 2 year old opened the door and let himeslf out! I was shocked and scared to say the least, great invention!
My youngest granddaughter is getting into opening doors and I would love to have this to keep her safer.
to keep my grandson from opeining the door
I could really use this. Thanks.

my grandson loves to play with doors but i would really love to use this on my cellar door
to keep my nephew from opening the basement door
I worry about my son getting out of the apartment door. He has been getting sneaky a lot lately and have been worrying he will try the door again.

I would use this on my daughter's closet! all of our board games and art supplies are in there since she has the biggest closet and she is ALWAYS making a huge mess, dumping out games and getting beads out!
I'd use this on trips for the hotel room door or at relative's homes when we stay with them. Our youngest son is 2 and he's a runner, so I'm always worried he'll get out and wonder off.
I would give this to my son for his 2 yr old daughter. She gets into a lot and it won't be long before she gets out the door.

Those sounds really great, love it!!
I would use this on our back door
OH WOW! My one year old has learned how to open doors from the 2 year old that I keep! This would keep BOTH of them where they belong!
This would be great on our screen room door.
I have never heard of lady lock, but it looks really useful! My daughter has been opening the front door a lot lately and it worries me because I'm afraid she's going to wander around outside while I'm doing something in another room.
This is awesome! I'd really like this more for myself, as I am always paranoid when DH works the night shifts that someone might get in. The back door's pretty secure but the front door bugs me.

i need that, we have some escape experts here LOL
I could really use this. Thanks
erma.hurtt@sbcglobal.net
we have a new baby on the way so we are in the midst of testing and trying new baby proofing stuff, this is one area we are clueless about, the whole doors thing, we have so many differn't types of door knobs in our house! I would love to try it!
jennifer.lleras@gmail.com
I would love to win this for my two year old, he has figured out how to turn all the lock and knobs in the house.
this would be a godsend. My daughter is disabled, and when we travel, I like to feel that extra sense of security any place we are.
This would be perfect for my son's house where my two little grandsons are. I would worry a lot less if they had this. Thanks for the giveaway!
This is an answer to my prayers! My son has complex partial seizures and sometimes does things that look normal to other people....like trying to leave the house. This would be a Godsend! Thanks for the heads up on the product and for the giveaway!
We live on a busy corner, and in the last month, my 3 yr. old has learned how to unlock and open all the doors. She sneaks out the back all the time. Right now, I keep the backyard locked with chains and a lock, but I have 3 older kids that leave it open. I sure could use one of these!
harmonden[at]wowway.com
With 3 small ones in our home this would be a wonderful thing to keep them safe.
This would help keep my little one safe, but it would also make me feel more safe too
my son is 18 months and can open any door in the house including the front door. it is scary
I would put it on my 2 year old's bedroom. He will not stay in there to go to bed ever since he lost his crib. It's a nightmare.
maquel@emmiekate.com
We are just beginning to try to open doors, it won't be long before my son can open them.
Ohh this would be great. My 2 year old is up to the same trouble as well.
My daughter likes to open the front door all the time so I would use it on that door. Thanks for the giveaway.

What a fantastic product!
I have a 2 1/2 year old and a 7 month old. I could really use this. thanks
Great idea and making sure our babies are safe is the most important. Count me in
Wow. You haven't "lived" until you've organized search parties to go racing around an entire hotel complex looking for an autistic child who has apparently decided to "go exploring" at three in the morning. Caregivers for ANYone at risk of disorientation should consider this a godsend!
Our younger son is autistic, and we've "child-proofed" the house as far as we can -- pegging pocket doors, using bungee-cords on porch doors, etc -- but he's gotten tall enough to reach the hook-and-eye latch on the front door, so -- it is time. For something new.
And the ability to take it WITH us on trips -- THAT is pure gravy!
Finally, something that works!!
I know a couple of people who could use this, mostly grandma and my sister. Thanks!
i would use it on the door to our basement which has very steep stairs :)
Definitely on our back door!
penguinchick@comcast.net
I would love to try this as my son seems to disable every other lovck we use.
I would use them for my front door. My grandson lives with me and I want to keep him safe.
would use this on the door to our basement for sure
Could really use this lock! Love to win!
dlcwin[at]gmail.com
I would use this on the front door. abrockelman73[at]yahoo[dot]com
This would be great to secure the front door
My youngest son is always trying to make a mad dash out the door. I would use this EVERY day at home!
My youngest son is always trying to make a mad dash out the door. I would use this EVERY day at home!
Oh my goodness my son really needs this. His youngest daughter escaped just a couple of days ago and the terror he went through until he found her was horrible. She is the cutest thing but very active and she can figure things out in a heartbeat LOL.
Great Prize.

I think this is a great idea..it would be pefect for my little neice.

I am having a hard time with my 2 year old.
You know,I am wondering how well these would work for our elderly loved ones that should not be going outside unescorted? Thank you so much for an opportunity to win!
This is a great idea and our little gal in on the move most of the time so this is something that we make us all feel like she is safer.
This is a great idea.
