First Aid for Summer Fun

The kids are almost out of school and you know what that means - more time spent playing. With all that play, kids also get scrapes, bugbites, bumps and bruises. So having a first-aid kit handy is a must!

CVS offers a wide range of quality, low-cost items that help you stock your first aid kit including bandages, antibiotic ointment, gauze and more. While you're at it, stock up on your suncare products for the weekend. Through today, save 30% on sun care products at CVS. Sunburn is no fun!

Win It
One winner will receive a first-aid pack from CVS that includes:

Peas Cold Therapy
Bandages
Reusable Instant Heat Pack with Click and Heat Activation
Antibiotic Ointment
Gauze
All-Purpose Cloth Tape
Extra Strength Aspirin

To enter, just leave a comment with your email address and tell us one must-have item in your first-aid kit. Deadline is Midnight, EST, May 26.

My must have is Antibotic Ointment. When I was in Elementary school. I would carry a tube of Neosporin in my purse. Partly because my bestfriend at the times dad worked for the company that made it and she lived in another state. (I was a dork) Then I lost my purse at a resturant and My mom called them and told them I had Neosporin in my purse. Thats how they knew it was mine. I think that was the ONLY thing in there too. lol.

flared0ne said...

You'll be able to say you heard about it here first... You may or may not know that many of the commercially available "Sting-stop" preparations have ammonia as a main ingredient -- generic laundry-grade ammonia works just as well. Keep a mixture of alcohol-gel (standard hand sanitizer), baking soda (adding a table spoon or two to six ounces of gel) and ammonia (adding between one and two ounces to six ounces of gel) handy for ant bites, bee stings, no-see-um bites, jelly-fish stings, etc.
