We go through a certain amount of steroid creme every summer, dealing with plant-related rashes
You'll be able to say you heard about it here first... You may or may not know that many of the commercially available "Sting-stop" preparations have ammonia as a main ingredient -- generic laundry-grade ammonia works just as well. Keep a mixture of alcohol-gel (standard hand sanitizer), baking soda (adding a table spoon or two to six ounces of gel) and ammonia (adding between one and two ounces to six ounces of gel) handy for ant bites, bee stings, no-see-um bites, jelly-fish stings, etc.
I definitely put the hydrogen peroxide in the first aid kit..that's a must among other essentials.
