I have been a fan of the women's shop, The Limited, for as long as I can remember. Growing up in a small town in North Carolina, my family would regularly make the trek to the more metropolitan cities of Fayetteville or Raleigh to do our shopping at their big malls. One store that was always on our list was The Limited. In fact, I clearly remember an outfit I had in high school that was one of my all-time favorites. It was a very defining outfit for me and I think I wore the pants until they literally fell apart. So my love affair with The Limited runs deep.
Over the years I have shopped at The Limited with great success, and I recently won a gift card for $25. It had been a little while since I had been in but I was so excited with what I found. For just a little more than my $25 card I was able to take home a lovely tank in a shimmery sage green (it brings out my eyes) and a gorgeous teal mesh knit dress that is simply fabulous - and they were both on the clearance rack so the prices were equally as fabulous.
Well, ladies, I have good news for you! You, too, can win a gift card of your very own from The Limited. To celebrate the grand opening of their new store at the Streets at Southpoint in Durham later this month, The Limited has given me not one, but two $50 gift cards to give away. These come just in time to boost your fall wardrobe with some of their gorgeous color-blocked tops, their elegant yet modern suiting, or their wonderful accessories.
I'm excited to see the new The Limited store at the Streets at Southpoint that Linda Heasley, CEO of The Limited, calls “more feminine, more approachable and more residential in feel.” Beginning on Thursday, August 25 and going all weekend long, the grand opening will feature a fashion show, sales and raffles as part of the celebration. A percentage of sales from the opening weekend will benefit the Ronald McDonald Houses of Durham and Chapel Hill.
Win a Gift Card
If you'd like a chance to win one of two (2) $50 gift cards for The Limited, just leave a comment here and tell me what your biggest obstacle is when it comes to getting dressed. Feel free to be as general or as specific as you'd like, but I want to hear it all - the good, the bad and the ugly. You'll instantly be registered to win (don't forget to include your email address). The deadline is Midnight, EST, August 15th, 2011 and the gift cards can be used at your local The Limited store.

My biggest obstacle is finding tops that fit me correctly in a style I like. I love very classic clothes (think buttondowns and blazers) for my career wardrobe, but I have a large chest, very narrow shoulders, and long arms so its hard to find things that fit propertly. Lately I have become more enamored of flowy blouses, but its hard to find a style that I am happy with! Kristin(biowildcat at yahoo dot com)
My biggest obstacle is my weight. I am only 5'1" and weigh about 220. I am large in the chest and round in the middle. Unfortunately, I look pregnant and tend to find the most comfortably fitting clothes in the maternity section. This does not help my self image at all especially being the single mother of a special needs child. It is very draining and very time consuming.Trying to find time to workout is a challenge, so I usually just wear clothes that are too big for me and very unflattering so I can hide my weight. My biggest obstacle to getting dressed is finding pants that fit properly. Everything seems to be low-rise nowadays, and I'm too old to be flashing my panties every time I bend over! (cafree AT gmail DOT com)
My biggest obstacle is putting together outfits. (Although I agree with Kristin's comment!) I want to be more bold and don't want to look garanimal matchy matchy, but the garanimals did have a point...I want to look put together and feel great in the outfit I have on!

Oooh I'm local! I love the Streets at Southpoint!
My biggest obstacle is the fact that I have Kim Kardashian/J-Lo proportions. I'm 5'9" and curvy, and it's hard to find clothing that doesn't make my butt look huge. LOL!

Like Maranda, I am short and stout as the nursery ryhme goes... Encouraged to know that I am an "average" US sized woman, but often frusterated that most clothes designers and manufacturers and buyers don't think beyond a size 5...including The Limited which was my "go to" back in the day too. I miss those days of buying what I like instead to settling for what will fit.
Budget, know how & shoes. I've been watching the fashion industry for ages & have always preferred the classics i.e. pieces that translate from decade to decade, like brown eye shadow for women with blue eyes. However, I still don't know what shoes on my feet work well with what I'm wearing. Its hit & miss w/me.
This coming Tues evening there is a business networking event being held at an upscale hip location... my clothes are not up to par. As I told my date-to-be, "I've nothing to wear! Everything is rags! I've been wearing my yoga pants & t's for too long & attempting to shop gives me the heeby-geebies".
The only reason I've worn outfits that work before is the blessed employees at whatever retail store I've raced into just an hour before a very important appointment. Can I cheat with just wearing Maxi dresses with combat boots?
Oh, wait - I'm losing weight too so anything I've got may or may not fit...time for a trip to the closet to sort...1st. 2nd, a quiet panicky phone call to One Chic Mama for an idea on where to go from there ;).
Lately my biggest obstacle is finding shirts that hide my post-baby belly but don't make me look huge. I have found that loose shirts make me look bigger than I actually am but shirts that are too tight really accentuate my belly.
That, plus finding pants that fit. The dreaded "muffin-top" has really become a problem for me.
I would LOVE to win this.

My biggest obstacle is "putting it all together" since my angular features need V-neck shirts while I may be in the mood for a pair of pants that works better with one of my scoop-neck shirts or my day calls for clothing that will withstand lifting boxes / moving furniture while my look-good outfit for the day just won't cut it. I get so tired of the same clothes/colors! Black, white, blue... makes me so blue! I like to add accessories as well and end up wearing the same necklace and earrings. Don't get me wrong, I have a lot of nice things to wear-I just can't seem to see them in a new way.

My biggest obstacle is pairing fashion with function. I have to dress professionally - often in suits or skirts - but I also have to walk across campus in all sorts of weather for meetings. I'd love to win a giftcard from The Limited to buy a new trench coat or outfit that is both fashionable and functional!
The biggest obstacle to getting dressed is my question "What should I wear now that I am in my 40s?" The clothing stores are mostly geared towards the young or the old! What can a stylish 40 something wear without looking likes she is trying to hard or without looking frumpy??

I'm a fashion addict i love experimenting clothes mixing up to make a new looks. I'm just enjoying my clothes in my wardrobe so that the old clothes will look new. This is not about what's hot and what's new it depend on how u wear it in a very nice way.
I'm a fashionholic. And I have a guts not to follow fashion rule.
